Abstract
The aims of the research was to improve (1) students learning motivation in stoichiometry subject by using GI (Group Investigation) cooperative method assisted by electronic module, (2) learning achievement in stoichiometry subject by using GI (Group Investigation) cooperative method assisted by electronic module. The research was a Classroom Action Research which was held in two cycles. Each cycle contains four such as planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of the research was class XB of SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari in the academic year of2010/2011. The data were obtained by observation, interview, test, quetionaire, and documentation. The technique which used to analize the data was qualitative descriptive. The result of the research showedthat (1) The application of cooperative learning by using GI(Group Investigation) method assisted by electronic module can improve the student‟slearning motivation in stoichiometry subject. It canbe seen from the implementation of cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I, the average percentage of student‟slearning motivation was 74.02% and increased to 74.91% in cycle II. (2) The application of cooperative learning by using GI(Group Investigation) method assisted by electronic module can improve student‟s achievement in the stoichiometry subject. In this research, student‟s achievement includes three aspects such as students learning completion, student‟s satisfaction aspect, and students affective aspect. Based on the test result in cycle I and cycle II, students learning completion reached up to 38.88% and 80.55% in cycle II. Viewed from students satisfaction aspect, there was an improvement from 70.36% perpustakaan.uns.ac.id digilib.uns.ac.id commit to user viii in cycle I to 74.41% in cycle II. Finally, from students affective aspect which was viewed from students attitude and student learning interest, it can be seen that there was an improvement from 70.36% in cycle I to 72.33 in cycle II.
